Finally...I went out for my first post-cold run on Wednesday. I did an easy 3.5 mile loop of Prospect Park and felt surprising loose...until I hit the hill. It was then that the 2 weeks of in activity became evident. I huffed and puffed and ended up with a side-splitting cramp. It was a start...
The most exciting part of this run, however, was that I finally got to try out my new Sugoi Mid-Zero tights! I purchased these at one of our local running stores, Jack Rabbit, on the recommendation of their always informative, helpful, and unbiased staff. Unfortunately, they don't have online shopping (yet). So back to the tights - LOVE them! So warm and comfy, and surprisingly flattering! I'm pretty well-endowed in the thigh region and have always steered clear of tights, opting for boot-cut styles in order to "balance out" the thighs. But the cold breezes wafting up my legs from the wide openings were starting to get to me. The tights truly looked and felt great, and I've come to appreciate my thighs in all their spandex glory.
