Plyometrics

Thanks Coach Michael. I can barely sit down today.

Wikipedia defines plyometrics as "a type of exercise training designed to produce fast, powerful movements, and improve the functions of the nervous system, generally for the purposes of improving performance in a specific sport. Plyometric movements use the strength, elasticity and innervation of muscle and surrounding tissues to jump higher, run faster, throw farther or hit harder, depending on the desired training goal."

Jumping, skipping, quick stepping...it looks a lot easier than it actually is. Try it for yourself. But try to find a private area - I was amazed at how silly and self-conscious I felt running with "high knees." Still, seeing Luis attempt to skip was well worth the embarrassment and soreness.
