Katie O'Neill ran her first marathon in Chicago this year ('07), which we remember turned into a total melt-down with temperatures in the 90's, and qualified for the US Olympic Trials. Way to go! On Sunday, she'll see if 2nd time's a charm,a s she tries to make the women's marathon team.
Track and field athletes are jumping aboard a new anti-doping program that uses athlete profiling principles. Baseline tests are taken, and subsequent tests are compared to the baseline to see if there are any marked changes that could be attributed to doping. Sounds promising!
Ultramarathon Man, Dean Karnazes, carried the Olympic torch in San Francisco this month, and would like to someday run around the world.
Sara Hall, Olympic hopeful in the 1500m and wife of Ryan Hall, talks speed, form, and recovery. Lots of interesting information.
