Holy Crap!

From New York Road Runners:

This year's half-marathon in Brooklyn on Saturday, May 30, is going to be the best one yet. Come out to the borough that features Prospect Park, Coney Island, and the famous boardwalk, where the half-marathon course will end this year!

Rumors fly every year that they are going to reverse the course of the Brooklyn Half. This year it's happening! I think I like this idea! No trekking to Coney Island at 6 am, Prospect Park is 3 minutes away from my house, and we'll get the 3 miles of hills over with in the beginning of the race rather than saving them for the end.

So I've been training, and it's been a little rough lately - more cold, dark, windy running last night - but this news might just be the boost that I needed to get more excited about this race!

The only problem is...that whole falling at the finish line thing. The odds of it happening again have increased exponentially:

The Boardwalk at Coney Island!

I think your falling at the finish line thing shows a lot of panache! Though to avoid injuries, you might not want to make it your trademark...

And what a cool idea to reverse the course!
